CeGRA at Illinois

The Center for Geopolymer Research and Applications (CeGRA) at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign creates new geopolymers and geopolymer processing techniques. It also develops new ways to use this emerging class of inorganic polymers of alumino-silicates in fields like:

GeoReL at Illinois

The Geotechnics Research Lab (GeoReL) is a newly developed facility at University of Illinois that focuses on research to solve problems and advance expertise on heat transfer related geotechnical engineering issues especially on renewable energy resources and climate change in cold regions.

Facilities & Services is an active partner in using geothermal energy systems on campus. They are also leading the efforts to build a geothermal coalition for Illinois.
